Thumbs.db

I notice in some of My Document Folders the file Thumbs.db is there. What
is it, what is it for, is it needed ?

thumbs.db is a file automatically created in a folder containing images.
I wouldn't say there's any harm in removing it, However I don't see a
point to it.

If you remove it, reboot it should re-create itself.

As for what it's used for it's a cache for your images in that folder
used by the windows explorer thumbnail view.

In addition to the other replies, sometimes this file can get corrupted, and
the images won't display properly. If that happens just delete it. It will
be recreated.
