Chkdsk Runs at Startup
Hi
Chkdks runs on startup on my son's PC. I have searched this forum and cannot find anything relevant to this problem. I have scanned with NIS2007 and TrendMicro Housecall (online scan) and found no problems. What other reasons might chkdsk run that I could investigate? EricG

Try resetting chkdsk by entering this string in a command window.
1. Open the run box and enter: cmd 2. Type: CHKNTFS /D 3. Thanks for the additional info. The problem seemed to be adware which was
picked up using TrendMicro online scanning service (missed by Norton NIS 2007).
