Licensed network connections
I have read you can have up to 10-users connected to file-shares in XP Pro.
Does this same limitation apply to Socket connections or any other type of network connection or is it just file-shares? I have an app that needs to serve data to more than 10 clients, do I need to get a server license to do this? |

Re: Licensed network connections
You would need to install and use a version of Windows Server.

Each computer can, and often does, make more than one connection to a "host" computer. You need to get a server operating system, either Small Business Server or Standard. It's not secure nor does it offer easy user validation. It would be a pain in the ass to administrate and would easily be penetrated. |
