KB wakes PC from hibernation...
....which I have just discovered and don't like. Any idea how to change
that, ...I'm guessing it's in bios but, having fought long and hard in the past, (with lots of help from angels in here, particularly Paul if memory serves), to get ACPI settings, ...and a APC 650 UPS / basic signalling-serial lead etc. working in a predictable fashion, ...i.e. don't want to upset anything ! regards, Richard p.s. it's an old Asrock Conroe865pe |

There's an option for standby; maybe it also works with the hibernation feature. In Device Manager, double click on your keyboard, click on "Power Management," and uncheck "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby". |

Changing the keyboard power up setting won't interfere with your ACPI setting. The wakeup from standby setting in XP won't work, because in hibernation the PC is shut down. In standby the PC is still powered on, but the drives and CPU are stopped. |

Re: KB wakes PC from hibernation...
Are you confusing standby with hibernation?
