HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop\AutoEndTasks=1
Hi All,
I am told on another forum that this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\AutoEndTasks=1 is suppose to end all tasks and log off all users on XP shutdown. I know it ends all tasks, but I was unaware that is also logged off all users. Can anyone verify this for me? Many thanks, -T |

Re: HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop\AutoEndTasks=1
It ends a task when a user logs off or shutdown. It does not logoff the
user. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- www.paulsxp.com www.paulsxp.com/forum www.supportspace.com/home/home.s2?aiu=paulm --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "ToddAndMargo" <ToddAndMargo@invalid.com> wrote in message news:uA3SFA7AJHA.4132@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Hi All, > > I am told on another forum that this key: > > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\AutoEndTasks=1 > > is suppose to end all tasks and log off all users on XP shutdown. > I know it ends all tasks, but I was unaware that is also > logged off all users. Ending tasks will be one of the last events before powering off. |

I can not press the prompt to log of users. |

This is all it does.
Automatically Close Non-Responding Applications on Shutdown or LogOff. -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- www.paulsxp.com www.paulsxp.com/forum www.supportspace.com/home/home.s2?aiu=paulm --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "ToddAndMargo" <ToddAndMargo@invalid.com> wrote in message news:uvK0Gy7AJHA.4572@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > PaulM wrote: >> It ends a task when a user logs off or shutdown.
