Logo Key+E - Administrator Error
Hello...in XP Home SP2, when I try to use the Windows key+E to bring
up Windows Explorer, I get the following error message: "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." Other logo key combos seem to work ok, like the +R for run. Is there a registry adjustment I can make that will resolve this? TIA for any assistance that can be offered! |

Went into the registry under HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/Explorer and deleted the "NoSetFolders" key, which essentially would be the equivalent of setting the group policy to Not Configured. After a reboot, tried again and it worked...thanks for the assist, I wouldn't have found this without you! :-) |
