Hello...in XP Home SP2, when I try to use the Windows key+E to bring
up Windows Explorer, I get the following error message:

"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on
this computer. Please contact your system administrator."

Other logo key combos seem to work ok, like the +R for run. Is there a
registry adjustment I can make that will resolve this? TIA for any
assistance that can be offered!

Thanks for the reply...problem is, this is XP Home where gpedit is
unavailable. Where would the registry equivalent be located, maybe I
can adjust the setting there...

Disregard previous message...I got it! Went into the registry under
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/Explorer and
deleted the "NoSetFolders" key, which essentially would be the
equivalent of setting the group policy to Not Configured. After a
reboot, tried again and it worked...thanks for the assist, I wouldn't
have found this without you! :-)
