System Restore Issues
Hi guys, I did a system restore earlier as over the last couple of months the
performance seemed to be deteriorating. A mistake maybe but i restored back to the earliest date which was july 31st. After doing this determined was not much better after around 10 mins or so tried to reverse back and when i was clicking on the system restore icon it was saying the file required was not in the library! (or something along those lines). I have also tried to access the system restore via pressing f8 on startup, going on to safe mode with command prompt and typing in the following :- %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe To cut a long story short i just want to be able to undo the restore carried out. I have done this before but have been able to reverse through the normal procedure. Any assistance would be appreciated and i promise i wont do this again! O/s is windows xp home edition. |

Re: System Restore Issues
Hi,
Try using a different restore point close to time you first restored the system, from safe mode. Starting Windows XP in Safe Mode: http://bertk.mvps.org/html/safemode.html Regards, Bert Kinney MS-MVP Shell/User http://bertk.mvps.org Member: http://dts-l.org bmwkings wrote: > Hi guys, I did a system restore earlier as over the last couple of months the > performance seemed to be deteriorating.
