Re: windows explorer
Hi jfm,
Run your explorer manually. Navigate to C:\WINDOWS and find explorer.exe Right click and select Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut). Left drag the explorer icon on your desktop over the Start button and *keep holding* the left button down and WAIT. >From the popups keep moving your mouse to the Accesories folder *without* letting your left mouse button up at all. Finally, when you are there - let go! Done. |

Re: windows explorer-2
[1] You should be able to find explorer.exe in the following location:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe [2] If it is not there, then you can search for it on your system drive by opening a command window and doing the following: [2.1] cd \ [2.2] dir /s explorer.exe This will search all subdirectories for the explorer.exe filename. [3] If you still can't find it, then try the the [Windows Key]+e shortcut combination to run explorer.exe. [4] It's very rare that explorer.exe would disappear from your system. But, if you ever think that a Windows file is gone, then there may be other files that are also gone. In that case, you can perform a Windows XP repair installation using your Windows XP CD.
