Re: Need line numbers when viewing a text file
Someone posted a link to this Notepad like utility not too long ago,
it's small, free and does what you want: Notepad2 http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html John Academia wrote: > I need a text editor (actually just a viewer) that identifies the line the > cursor is on. > > Can I turn on line numbers or a status line that shows line numbers in > anything that comes with XP? > > > Thanks > > |

Re: Need line numbers when viewing a text file
Thanks. I've looked for that many times, especially with web html source
pages. I couldn't believe there was no simple program to do this since I used UNIX VI (which had a line-number option) way back in the dark ages. Re: Need line numbers when viewing a text file
Notepad does that, just turn on Status, and turn off WordWrap.
