Com Port Conflict - maybe?
I apologise if this is a stupid question! I have installed software for my
new file on my Windows XP Media Edition pc (SP2). I have plugged in the phone to a USB port (of which there are 4 I believe). The phone won't connect. When I look at the device manager, under modems it says the phone is connected to COM4 but under ports it is shown as COM6. I don't know how to fix this but I have installed the software & phone on 2 other pc's and it works fine. Any suggestion very very much appreciated. Thank you. |

The computer "sees" the phone because it starts to charge and if I unplug it, it disappears from device manager but it won't connect. Other things plugged into the USB ports at the back are my printer and the "receiver" for my wireless mouse. If I plug my Skype phone in to the ports at the front it works fine. Any suggestions very very much appreciated. Thank you. |

Re: Com Port Conflict - maybe?
Perhaps there is an issue with too much plugged into the back?
