Re: Monitor is too dark...
"Robert Bodling" <robertbodling@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:4799c489$1$6141$4c368faf@roadrunner.com... >I have tried to readjust the contrast on my monitor and the background is >to dark to view some of the movie trailers or other videos on the system, >how can I tell the system to brighten the background or not to be so dark? > A computer monitor, while good for computer type displays, is far from the ideal display device for movies. Some DVD player utilities feature the ability to change the gamma profile to render movies better, but you usually have to rely on the graphic card drivers should they support such changes. Even dedicated LCD or Plasma TVs often feature the ability to change the gamma profile as what is best for video sourced material is rarely right for film sourced material, though many users probably don't know it's there, let alone use it. |
