Using direct cable connection to transfer files and settings
I'm trying to use the files and settings transfer wizard with a direct cable
connection to transfer from my desktop to a new laptop both using Windows XP home edition. When I'm on the 'old computer' both the option to transfer using a 'direct cable' or 'other removable media' are not available to click on. (I can see them but can't click on). This is making me crazy. Help please? |

I can't remember the name for this type, but it needs to resemble a null modem cable (but for ethernet). Jim |

Re: Using direct cable connection to transfer files and settings
Just a FYI here is one I bought ($80) ouch! http://cjoint.com/data/bAarzZSLpa.htm It does <not> work with Win98se, even with USB 2.0 And the "Free" lap link Sync is a lie, it is a 30 day trial only. Re: Using direct cable connection to transfer files and settings
