Setting priority on a process name - not just once but always?
Hello,
If you go to task manager, you can set the priority and affinity on a process but it only takes for that session. This may sound silly but I'd like certain processes always to be below normal - ever time. I do a lot of video conversion which can suck up every bit of processing power I have. I'm not always in a rush for them whereas e-mail and other functions are a priority. Say the process name is avc - is there a way I can set AVC always to be below normal without having to go to task manager every time? Part of the problem is it starts up a new session everytime it completes a video conversion so if I have 10 items in the queue - when it completes 1 it goes to 2 but starts a new session so I have to go to task manager and set the priority again. Thanks |
