File size of PDF differ
I have read around in this group trying to find something that
resembles the issue we have at our company. Depending on how we create a PDF from a Word document the file size differs pretty much. As an example I have a small, simple Word document (only text, about 39KB large) created with Word 2003 Example1: When from Word we use Print -> PDF Writer we get a PDF which is ~12KB large. This is good we think. Example2: From Windows Explorer we right click on the same Word file and chose convert to PDF. Then the PDF becomes ~15KB. Also ok but strange Example3: From Adobe Acrobat 7.0.9 (our current version) we chose to make a binder then the same file becomes ~24KB large. I can see why the binder would become slightly larger but not roughly twice the size. The problem scales as we try with larger Word files. We use the default conversion settings for Adobe Acrobat so that shouldn't be a cause. Anyone have any ideas what could be the cause? /br Elg |
