I click on "properties" on the File menu, then I click on the "security" tab and then I choose "password security". Sometimes it happens as soon as the security option menu screen comes up and sometimes it is when I click on the option for password to edit/copy, etc. the document.

I have also tried using the security icon on the toolbar, but it does the same thing.
