Google gives a lot of hits on this issue. I have no idea what to believe from those hits. Some indicate a need to clean up the registry. Maybe trying the MS registry cleaner would be worthwhile (a link to it is in a recent topic). The one other link I found interesting, is
<http://www.prevx.com/filenames/619445832707290572-0/ACROPRO.MSI.html> but I have no idea of the validity of such data. There are also hits if you search the forums and the knowledgebase. I did not see anything quite like your problem, but you might look through them. The knowledgebase has 11 hits.
