Help! I cant get Acrobat Reader (i.e. Adobe Reader 9) to run
Hi
Help! I can't get Acrobat Reader to run. I just uninstalled and then re-installed "Adobe Reader 9" in my Windows XP (SP3) PC. I have a roaming profile (which I hate but apparently I'm stuck with it). I cant get Adobe Reader to even open on its own without an error. The error is: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Rutime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact [blah-blah] - Should I re-install the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library? (If so how the heck do I so that?!) - Or should I download an earlier version of Adobe Acrobat? - Or do I need to do open heart surgery on the registry (I have NO idea how to do that stuff, btw) Help! With thanks Ship Shiperton Henethe P.S. I do NOT have Adobe Acrobat installed on my PC. |
