Bill -- You're right that I don't have a previous message in this forum. I apparently made a mistake of some kind when posting my original question, because I don't see my original message here either.

John -- Thanks for the link. That form allows the entry of any product version number. I'm guessing that the form I found on Adobe's site is an old one that someone forgot to update.

Fortunately for all concerned, I was able to figure out the problem -- it had to do with how older versions of IE were caching PDF files -- and all is well now.
