Bookmark pointing to mid-page overwrites "inherit zoom" value
I am not able to have a bookmark go to a page view AND have the zoom level retain value of "inherit zoom."
When in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro (8.1.1), if I create a bookmark and set it to a position in the middle of page 2, and then set Zoom to "inherit zoom," the bookmark does not go to the middle of page, but rather to the top of the page and inherits the zoom. Alternatively, I can have a bookmark go to the middle of a page, but then the zoom reverts to a "custom" setting (where that value is equal to zoom value active when the bookmark setting was edited). I looked into adding Javascript like this.zoomType=zoomtype.fitP; but there is no zoomType value for inherit zoom (based on looking in Acrobat JavaScript Object Specification Ver 5.1 <http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/5186AcroJS.pdf> ) Problem occurs with PDFs created from a test file created in MS Word Office 2003 and another file created in InDesign CS3. I have older PDFs from previous Acrobat products that did not have this problem. Should I reinstall older Adobe product? Any suggestions or need more info.? Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional ver 8.1.1 PC Win XP RAM 1 GB Thanks, B |
