Pantone Solid Coated

Something odd:

In Illustrator CS3 (fully updated), on the Pantone Solid Coated chart when I enter 577, what I get is 2577. Machine is Win XP-sp3

This is the only color (I have found) that acts like this.

I have trashed prefs. Closed and reopened Illustrator. Rebooted the machine. It happens in any and all files.

Not a big issue, obviously. I just enter 576 & go to the swatch I want. I'm just curious; does this happen to anyone else?

Re: Pantone Solid Coated

It seems to happen with several colors, just try entering random numbers and see... they all seem to be in the 2000 range.

Re: Pantone Solid Coated

Thanks. I just wanted to make certain it wasn't just my machine. I'll file a bug report when I get the chance.

Re: Pantone Solid Coated

This came up quite some time ago, and I believe the answer is to hit the space bar before 577. You'll get 577. It happens with 265. Without the space bar you'll get 1265. Space + 265 = 265.

Re: Pantone Solid Coated

Cool. Thanks.

As I said; it isn't a big problem (just type 576 and go over one), but it's always nice to have another workaround.

AND to know it's not just my machine being weird (again).
