PDF Conversion adds Question Marks on the middle of the page?..
Hello,
Never had this happen before. Created a page on Illustrator 10, with text, symbols, artwork, and a photo. When I tried saving/converting to PDF, the PDF image shows a bunch of Question Marks scattered around the middle of the page.. Quite strange - - anyone know the solution to this problem? Thanks |

Re: PDF Conversion adds Question Marks on themiddle of the page?..
Dawn,
As far as I remember, this issue has been up before; unfortunately so long ago that even Harron and I do not remember the solution right away. Maybe there was something about reinstalling Acrobat. |

They're what you would call random, but with each attempt at converting, they appear in the same spots. There's 21 black ones, and one yellow one - - - half of them bold, half not. And, they're all in little boxes.. [?]

Dawn,
If you have reinstalled Acrobat without any effect on this, you may try to Move the folder <http://www.bugge.com/Family-and-friends/Illy/illy.html> with Illy closed, and move the preferences back with Illy closed if it does not help; moving the folder will reset your preferences to the default values. |

I'm not sure why they'd appear as question marks, but you might have stray text objects.
Look at your AI document in outline mode to see whether you have little 'x' marks corresponding to where the question marks appear. If so, select them and delete them. You might be able to use Select | Object | Stray Points to expedite the process. |
