InDesign crashing, faulting module paragraph composer.rpln
Hello.
Sometimes when I work with InDesign it crashes. "Send error" window by Windows XP appears. The error (Copy/paste) from event logs: Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: None Event ID: 1000 Date: 2008.07.16. What could couse this crash? If it makes some sense, InDesign file was made/converted from PageMaker 6.5 for about half a year ago, maybe even more. InDesign file contains texts, eps, JPG's, TIF's and so on.. Our company uses InDesign for newspaper development. p.s. Wrote to adobe support e-mail for a month ago, but no answer yet. So now I'm trying to ask help here.. We dont want to pay money for a software that does not work properly. |

Re: InDesign crashing, faulting module paragraph composer.rpln
And what would this change for me? The question was about the error.. why it shows up and everything closes.
For example, today InDesign crashed while I was working in two files at once. When I switched to the other file (witch was already opened) InDesign started to think something and then after few secs whoala.. "Send error?" by XP and a new entry in Event logs. |

Re: InDesign crashing, faulting module paragraph composer.rpln
Exporting to .inx is a way to strip out any little extraneous stuff that isn't actually necessary and can cause problems on occasion. It's particularly useful as a way of cleaning up converted files, which often have some sort of problem due to differences in architecture or just plain bad construction of the original file.
It works many times to fix other files that crash for no apparent reason, too. Peter |
