I have created 2 master pages

A has an auto page number on itand works fine.

B has no page numbering on it as I have my contents page on this page.

The problem is when I put the contents page at the front the first page with an A as the master page starts at 2 instead of 1. Even though the contents page as no page numbering.

Even if I move the contents page in the middle of the document the contents page always as no number on it but the page before this page will be 26 then the contents page no numbering and then the next page will be 28 instead of 27.

How do I fix this please???

You can access the section and numbering options by right-clicking the page icon, as well.

All pages have a number, whether you choose to show it or not. By default every new document starts on page 1, so if you want to start numbering somewhere other than at 1, or restart numbering at some point inside the document, you must tell InDesign what you want to do.
