Re: Help the Noob
Hello,
In design view, click on the image link. In the properties window, select " _blank " from the Target dropdown. Your code will then be similar to this: <a href="somesite.htm" target="_blank"><img src="mypicture.jpg" width="100" height="147"></a> Take care, Tim "Howcho" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:fqq1ge$s8o$1@forums.macromedia.com... > Manged to make an image link to an external website, but I need it to open > in a new window. > > I am currently using Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 |

Also, be sure you have rights to display the image on your site, even in a popup. -- E. Re: Help the Noob
Good point.
If you are using XHTML 1.0 STRICT, then you'll need to do something like this to validate: http://www.sitepoint.com/article/sta...ompliant-world If you're using a transitional doctype or HTML 4. you're all set..
