Hi,

I'm looking to register a .us domain name, and point it to a
Dreamhost-hosted website. I tried registering it with GoDaddy.com, but
they've informed me that unlike Network Solutions and Dreamhost, they do not
keep the registrant information private. Meanwhile, NS and DH *do* manage
domain name registrations, but not for ".us"

Am I sh#@ out of luck, here?

I'd like for a Dreamhost-hosted website to have a ".us" domain name that
does not publish the registrant info publically. Is there any way to achieve
this?

Self-correction : Turns out Network Solutions DOES offer the ".us", but at a
whopping $40/yr.

Dotster.com springs to mind, I haven't got privacy on my names but i seem to remember it being offered.

If you register with GoDaddy, they have a private registration through
Domains by Proxy. It will cost you about $15.00 for the domain and
private registration.
