adding background music to a website using dreamweaverCS3
Hello all,
I'd like to know how do you add background music to a website using dreamweaver CS3? I'm using dreamweaver CS3 to create a website for my church (they already have a domain) and I'm trying to figure out how to add background music. Also, is there a way for me to add a music player or something to the page that starts playing when they enter the site and let's you pick different songs from it? And lastly, if I just embed a song or whatever it is as the background music, can I make it loop or play a different song afterwards? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

> I'd like to know how do you add background music to a website using >dreamweaver CS3? The best answer: Don't. It will cause _several_ problems. > I'm using dreamweaver CS3 to create a website for my church (they already have >a domain) and I'm trying to figure out how to add background music. Search through the archive of this group why music or sound in general on a website is almost always a really, really bad idea, if it starts automatically. There's nothing wrong with the option for the users to turn it "on" if they want, but it's a design mistake and really unfriendly if they are forced to turn it "off". > Also, is there a way for me to add a music player or something to the page >that starts playing when they enter the site and let's you pick different songs >from it? Surely possible, but I can't recommend one. Lady Google might help. But there's another problem: If you want the music to play in the background even if users click around your site, you would have to use frames. But you definitely _don't_ want to use frames for various reasons (=> archive). Micha |

Re: adding background music to a website using dreamweaver CS3
Look at Wimpy Streaming audio/video Player. One player can handle all your
flash videos and MP3 audio clips. Very easy to install, dirt simple to update playlists later. Utmost care and consideration should be used when embedding music, sound or other media into a web page. An OFF button is good but an ON button is always the preferred way to go. http://www.wimpyplayer.com/affiliate...ate.php?id=836 --Nancy O.
