Restoring a backup of site

A friend made some changes to the borders folder of my site and now only the
index page loads. However, he did make a backup of the entire site prior to
this, so basically I need to know how I restore the previous version of the
site before the changes. Can anyone help, please? I'm using Dreamweaver MX
2004.

What's the backup called? Usually when you back something up it becomes
a 'copy'

If your site folder was called 'mySite' the backup would be named
'mySite Copy'

If this is the case all you do is dump 'mySite' in the waste bin and
then rename 'mySite Copy' to 'mySite'

No because if you have made a COMPLETE back-up of the site folder the
two folders will be separate of one another.

You just need to keep the back-up site folder, throw the other one away
and then rename your backup folder to the original folders name so that
Dreamweaver can recognise all the associated files.

Warning: Please do make sure that you have a COMPLETE back up folder and
not part backup otherwise your in trouble.
