Uneditable Regions w/ no .dwt
I'm trying to edit a page in Dreamweaver 8 that has no .dwt extension but is
almost entirely an uneditable region. I cannot detach any templates obviously, and renaming and changing directories does not work either. Any help is much appreciated. |

Re: Uneditable Regions w/ no .dwt
ok, well the dwt extension only applies to the template, not pages that
use the template. pages that use the template will have the normal html (or php, asp whatever the page is) extension. have you actually tried detaching the template, or do you just think you can't because you think there's not a template applied to the page? i'm guessing the page is using the template, otherwise it wouldn't have any uneditable regions. do you see a sort of yellowish border around the page, with "Template:" in the upper right corner? that means it's using a template, and whatever is next to the word "Template" is the template it's using. either detach the template, or edit the the template file so that it has editable regions. and you might want to look in the Dreamweaver help file for more info on how templates work, because if you plan on using them, you need to understand how they work. hope that helps! proter wrote: > I'm trying to edit a page in Dreamweaver 8 that has no .dwt extension but is > almost entirely an uneditable region.
