OK Murray, the real page I am working with right now is here:
http://www.timos.com/timos/timoCorner/timo.cfm. This one is using an animated
GIF because I have not been able to get it to work if I put the swf in its
template.

I am attaching code for the template and for a blank test page made from the
template. I have posted the page made from the template with the SWF in it,
here: http://www.timos.com/timos/timoCorner/timoFLASH.cfm.

The site on the web is an exact copy of the version I have in 'localhost', on
my local machine. I have verified that the SWF exists on the web server.

One curious thing: when I browse to the test page in my localhost, a white box
appears where the SWF should be (where the animated GIF is on the real page),
but on the web server, there is no white box ? as if nothing were inserted in
that spot.
