Re: W3C and 'target'
[TABLES:
Unnecessary. Build your tables with no cell widths at all.... This allows the contents to completely control the width of the table. Or don't use tables.... Don't quite understand.. I use tables in different pages, ie aug,sept,etc.. If one name of the venue is, say 230px wide, the whole name column would adjust to accommodate this; as you say. But, what would happen, if in a different page, no name is longer than say 100px? Would the column just accommodate this width? And appear different, if one flips from one to the other, as they do...? I use tables because I can easily paste and copy complete venue details between pages, as the tables are all of exact dimensions? Maybe, there is a better way, but this suits me fine.. easily 'undone' if I mess-up..:-) |
