In the past, I've uploaded images to my church's website with no problems at
all. However, for some reason, now when I try to upload an image--using exactly the same process, with images stored in the same folder, I get this message: "Get operation vbs.jp image does not exist on remote site." What am I doing wrong? |

Re: Image
Ah... I think GET is when you download to your computer and PUT is when you
upload from your computer to the remote site (I don't use DW for get/put due to security restrictions where I work, so not 100% sure) I think the error message says you are trying to GET a file that is not there |

Re: Image
are you sure you're using the same process? because "get" is when you
download from the server. are you clicking the green down arrow instead of the blue up arrow? heartgirl28 wrote: > In the past, I've uploaded images to my church's website with no problems at > all. vbs.jp is not an image. What exactly is it you are trying to do? And how again is it you are trying to do that? -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "heartgirl28" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:g7v237$m15$1@forums.macromedia.com... > In the past, I've uploaded images to my church's website with no problems > at > all. Re: Image
As far as I know, I'm inserting the image (a jpeg) exactly the same way I've
always done. I go to "Insert," and select image. I locate the image ("vbs 2008") which is located in a folder where I've successfully uploaded other photos from in the past. I select the image. It gives me the message "The file is outside of the root folder of site 'Church', and may not be accessible when you publish the site. Your root folder is: http://localhost/ Would you like to copy the file there now?" Now, this has happened to me in the past and so I click yes to copy it. It gives me the option to save it as "http://localhost/vbs 2008.jpg" I save it and then this message pops up: "Get operation failed since vbs 2008.jpg does not exist on the remote site." I hope this helps clarify my confusion--thanks for the insights. |

Re: Image

OK - let's first check your site definition. Please tell us what you have in all the fields in the Local site definition. Also, it's a very bad idea to use spaces in file/pathnames. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "heartgirl28" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:g7vcdb$3rv$1@forums.macromedia.com... > As far as I know, I'm inserting the image (a jpeg) exactly the same way > I've > always done. > > I go to "Insert," and select image.
