Re: i'm so frustrated right now "ffs"
You did not define your site correctly in DW. Here is one of your image
links: It is pointing to your harddrive. This is really basic stuff. Are you sure it's time to be offering web design services? Really! -- Walt "gdhfnlnsfkglbsnd;kjb" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:g947c6$9gs$1@forums.macromedia.com... > hi, ive got a really frustrating problem..i've designed my secong site in > dreamweaver and it looks fine when i view it in browser...However as soon > as i > load it up to the server for hosting all my images disaapear (x in the > box) > well almost all. > > Have a look www.lcmgames.co.uk > > The problem is my pics make up my website and are crucial...most have > them > have links...do i haVE TO DO ALL THE HARD WORK AGAIN? > > > |

Re: i'm so frustrated right now "ffs"
Your problem is that the image code in the page is:
and it should be: I am just guessing, but looks like you don't have your site information in Site/Manage Site set correctly. |

So will you tell a prospective client, "I really don't know what I'm doing but I want you to pay me while I learn"? >>could any 1 point me in the right direction Sure. In DW press F1 (Help) search on "Setting up a new Dreamweaver site " -- Walt "gdhfnlnsfkglbsnd;kjb" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:g94921$bl8$1@forums.macromedia.com... > thanks, this sounds worring...could any 1 point me in the right direction > to > correcting this. thanks. > > i dnt think so no...i would never sell anything to any one that was > poor...this site is for my new business least am having a go, and so what > if i > can get paid while i learn. constructive comments please...Do i have to do > all > my sight again. > |

Re: i'm so frustrated right now "ffs"
well, for starters, you can try to absorb what people are telling you.
open the Dreamweaver Help file and read about how to define your site. you can get there easily by clicking on "Help" at the top of the window and selecting "Getting Started with Dreamweaver." the third option listed there is "Tutorial: Setting Up Your Site and Project Files." that's the very first thing you need to do. you should also read everything else in there. gdhfnlnsfkglbsnd;kjb wrote: > hi...i have already loaded up my images together with the relevent pages...how > come it works in browsr but not on > the internet.do i have to put all the images in one file, or should i strt > again anddefine my sight beter...i jus dont know > |
