can't view in browser

Some how I managed to screw up my page. It won't let me view in browser now.
It's asks for a testing server and I never had to use that before and I don't
know how to set that up. I also lost my local folder which contains
approximately 25 different web pages in it. They still show where I FTP them to
so they are there, but the GET feature doesn't bring them back into my local
folder. Can someone please help me please? I don't want to have to redo all
these pages. As of now I can't view anything in browser, and I can't get the
files to come up in local folders to I can even edit them. TIA

Have you selected a server technology by mistake in the Site Manager?

Re: can't view in browser

no it's been on local the whole time. for some reason it asked for server technology on it's own. I'm the only one who has access to DW so another user couldn't have switched it.

Even if you looking at the local view it might show you this message.
Look in the Site Manager and see what it say's on the 'Testing Server' tab

Re: can't view in browser

Server Model was selected to ASP/JAVASCRIPT
Access local/network
Testing Server c:\Doc&setting/xxx/my document
URL Preview http://local host

Somewhere along the line a testing server got added by the looks of it. How do
I get it back to normal?

And thanks for the help BTW !!

open this site definition for editing.
click the Advanced tab at top.
click testing server on left, set testing server access to None.

Re: can't view in browser

I changed the server setting to none and I can now preview in browser, but it still won't let me GET the sites backs from my host. How do I go about that?

Re: can't view in browser

is the Remote Host still defined?
Have you changed the pulldown at top left of the Files Panel to show the
remote files? [or expanded the Files Panel to show both local/remote files]

Re: can't view in browser

I don't know what the heck is going on here but I got all of the files back. I
clicked GET numerous times and it did nothing, and I decided to try it one last
time and it got my files back. Now I can edit them. Thanks for the help!!!!

I would like to know why it wouldn't work though.
