CS3 Installation CD?

I recently purchased CS3 (upgrade version) and had no trouble installing from
the DVD and completing the setup on my desktop system. Would like to be able
to work with CS3 on my laptop when I travel as well, though, and then transfer
files back to my desktop when I get home. The thing is, my laptop doesn't have
a DVD-ROM in it, only a CD-R/W drive. Is it possible to order CS3 in a CD
version, or do I have to purchase an external DVD-ROM to hook up to my laptop
in order to install it? Surely I cannot be the only person on the planet that
wants to install CS3 on a system that doesn't have a DVD-ROM!

Re: CS3 Installation CD?

Can you connect your laptop to your desktop then install CS3 onto the laptop
from the desktop's DVD player?

The system requirements quite clearly state that a DVD-ROM drive is
required:

However, you can download the trial version onto your laptop. Enter your
serial number, and you should be good to go. The trial version is
identical to the retail version. Entering a valid serial number removes
the 30-day time limit.
