Re: redirect http to https

The easiest way is to place this in the head of the page you want
redirected.

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="10;url=https://www.travisfloors.com ">

This will redirect in 10 seconds, other than that your host should provide a
way.

Pablo, you should know better and don't give such a bad advice!

>This will redirect in 10 seconds

Yes, _every_ 10 seconds. Changing from HTTP to HTTPS doesn't change the
page content, just the used transfer protocol. The content will be the
same, so the same stupid meta refresh will appear again and again on the
homepage. And what happens if the user directly enters a deeper page
using HTTP? You would have to add that meta thingy to _all_ pages ...

The correct way is to check the used method on the server, either in a
script (if there's scripting used on that site) or in a .htaccess file,
assuming it's an Apache server. Then send an appropriate HTTP status
code (301 or 302) back to the browser. In a .htaccess with mod_rewrite
this should be nothing more than a two-liner for the entire site.
