Firefox/2.0.0.13 (Windows XP)

The update has lost all of my bookmarks. Any help to recover them would
be appreciated.

Maybe this might be interesting but I only use the portable version of
firefox and even if I update I never have issues of lost bookmarks.

Why would this be so?

I updated three computers with the standard version of Firefox,
two of them running XP. None of them lost bookmarks, and none
of them has ever lost bookmarks on previous updates.

I've been using Firefox since V0.9 - four years, I think. I've never
lost my bookmarks.

I usually export them and manage them in Opera because it has improved
management over FF I believe (except it doesn't export bookmarks out of
trash) but if I may go off topic for a moment something I've discovered
about Firefox that I like is how the google search is always country
specific which I've not found on either IE or Opera for that matter..

That could be a cookie thing. Have you tried setting Google options
while using FF?

Hello,

Obviously the problem isn't with FireFox but with the other two browsers
which I mentioned.

I'm only noting differences between them in an effort to standardise
functions across the browser realm.
