Verizonwireless.com login to my account fails: get error web page temporary unavailable.
I am using windows xp pro; Firefox/2.0.0.16 . When I try to login
to my account on verizonwireless.com I get an error that page is temporally unavailable. All I get from verizon is that their site only works with Internet explorer. However, I have always used firefox since it first came out. I have two other computers, and both of them are using windows xp and same version of firefox they have no problem to log in. The computer that i am having problems with logging into verizon, I have deleted cache, history, cookies etc. I have it set to allow cookies, and also do not block pop-ups. But still can not get it to work. I would assume that someplace in my computer is hiding an error message that needs to be deleted. but I can not find it. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for the help. If you check this blog, you will see reference to the error message I am getting as well as an image of the error. http://www.rickwhittington.com/blog/...login-feature/ But since firefox works on my other two computers with no problems, I am sure it should work on this one as well. |

Try running in Firefox 'safe mode', first. If that still fails, then make a new test profile. If the test profile works, you can migrate your old bookmarks, and password files to the new profile. -- Ron Hunter rphunter@charter.net |

I will check my host file to see if something is in there that is blocking but I do not think that is the problem as IE7 will connect and the host file as well as the security programs would have the same effect. Strange that I can connect on two other computers without any problem running the same OS, Same Firefox, and security software and on the same network. |

Hello, Thanks for the help, I tried safemode; did not make any difference. I then created a test profile. Using the test profile, it did allow me to log on the site ok. I am curious as to what the problem may be that is keeping me from logging in under my old profile. Any suggestions? |

I did create a shortcut to the logon page as it didn't remember my password from the regular page. Try this link: https://login.verizonwireless.com/amserver/UI/Login Barbara |

However, by making a new profile corrected the problem. So I just use the test profile when I want to go to verizon wireless until such a time I can figure out how to repair my default profile. I am sure there is a file that needs to be deleted perhaps. Thanks to everyone who did reply and gave me tips to resolve this issue. |
