FF3 thinks it's crashing all the time
The other day, I saw a FF3 popup to upgrade on the right of the screen. It
disappeared b4 I could hit it. Against my normal rules, since I couldn't find an 'update now' button anywhere, I turned it over to AUTOMATIC updates. Since then I went back to announceafter it loaded and told me it'd updated. So something in that update has turned FF3 brain dead. I quit after every session. Next time I fire it up, it wants a report about the previous crash [that didn't happen].. It's been about 4-5 times now asking to report the crash info. The update doesn't seem to have affected anything I use normally with FF,just asking me what caused it to crash every time it fires up. I believe when you get an update notice from some company, they check the status of the 'auto update' and if it's set to automatically do it, it sends out trash it knows to screw things up. I learned that the hard way from windows auto update and the video update. And Trend's auto update. Worst update ever. turned the machine into a 300baud doorstop. -- more pix @ http://members.toast.net/cbminfo/index.html |

Um, first off why not just let Firefox report it and be done with it? Try that and see if your problem goes away. |

It still asks. -- more pix @ http://members.toast.net/cbminfo/index.html |

I also removed the submitted, and set >[Crash Reporter] Enabled=1 and changing the 1 to 0 > (you will need to repeat the edit if an application update replaces thefile). so we'll see if it works. -- more pix @ http://members.toast.net/cbminfo/index.html |
