I can print from my email program, Word Pad, but when I try printing from
Fire Fox web page, I get an error msg.: printer not connected.

When I switch to IE, it prints fine from same page.

How can I tweak this? Have printed many times in past from Fire Fox, from
print preview selection or direct.

Printing from FF sucks and has been bad for a long time. Use IE when you
know your going to print something.

Chances are, you have more than one printer installed on your system, or
have changed printers, you may have the default printer assigned to the
non-existent printer. Firefox seems to make a determination when loaded
to use the first printer it finds in the list or printers as the one to
use. I have been unsuccessful at deleting a printer from WinXP's
printer list, so the only real alternative is to select the correct
printer from the print dialog under 'print' below the 'file' menu.

that she has to switch the printer selection each time she uses FF, or
the output will go to MY printer. Darn nuisance.

I can't print multiple pages from FF, I use it less and less these days as
it's a pain to dig down into some sites to find what you want and the
download won't start or what ever so back to IE drill down to where I was
and click the link and off it goes. I don't know why and don't really care I
just want the browser to work and many times it fails at simple things but
IE doesn't even blink and does what I need to get done, so I use IE more and
more as a result.

And just where is the proffered help????????

I have asked about printing issues over the years and have *never*
received a solution. So I DO use IE to print important stuff.

No one here seems to either know or care much about printing.
