Default Browser Question
I use FF as my default browser (FF 1.5.01) but have one browser based
app I use all the time that only works (for now) in IE. I'd like to setup a desktop shortcut that starts this app in IE. How best to do it? "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" -some switch then my app site address? I know I could just click on IE and the click the favorite for it, but is there another way? Thanks David |

You can also tell it to "always open in IE". This doesn't give you the shortcut you asked for, but might get you the same results if you set it to always open in IE, then FF would automatically open IE for you. Barbara |

Drag the URL from the location bar and drop it on your desktop. Right-click the shortcut icon and choose Properties and the General tab. Click the Change button to the right of "Opens with" and set it to IE. -- Ed Mullen http://edmullen.net http://mozilla.edmullen.net http://abington.edmullen.net |
