won't launch!
I installed Mozilla firefox in June '05 and have been very happy with the browser. Today I tried to launch it and repeatedly got an error message to restart because another application did not finish installing. I restarted; did a scan w/Spyware doctor and it still won't launch.
IE works.... Please help! |

Re: won't launch!
Try downloading and reinstalling it - if there are still problem, u might want to try with a clean re-install... removing firefox and then re-installing for now.

Which one did not finish installing? Can you be more specific on the error message. Why did you decide to run a spyware scan? -- Kind regards, Melchert MacOS 10.3.9/Firefox 1.5/Thunderbird 1.5 |

With FF closed, use Windows Explorer[1] to check your FF Profile Folder[2] for the file parent.lock. If it is there, delete it. Does FF work now. [1] Make sure windows Explorer is set to view hidden files and folders. Correct? If so, bring up the Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL} and end it that way. Now restart it. |
