Re: Email HTTPs
On 23.04.2006 04:53, CET - what odd quirk of fate caused John Barton to
generate the following:? : >Using Mozzila Firefox 1.5 and Outlook Express 6. When an email has an HTTP >address in the body of the email and I click the HTTP it does not open. If I >minimize the email then the HTTP is viewable. How can I fix this? > > > > > I presume, HTTP means a URL (Web Address) ?? How do you mean with: QUOTE If I minimize the email then the HTTP is viewable. UNQUOTE Is the Website (in FF) hidden *behind* the eMail window?? In that case, you need to click the FF button in the windows task-bar, to bring FF to the front! If this is *not* what you are experiencing, let us know more details! reg |

Re: Email HTTPs
Thanks for the reply....Yes I do mean a URL. The Website is hidden behind
the email window. I do not know what you mean by(inFF). What is the FF button you say I should click in the windows task bar? Is it the forward button? Re: Email HTTPs
I do not have a FF button on the Outlook Express email window and do not
find an option to add it? Are you referring to the small round dotted circle that appears on the FF window when I am viewing web pages not email? It also shows all open application on this bar. Click on the Firefox button on this bar. |

At the bottom of your screen, there is (or should be) a line of icons, buttons, pretty pictures and other stuff - do you see it?? THAT is the task bar! At the VERY RIGHT END, you should see the time-of-day! When you click on a URL in an eMail, FF (=Firefox) will open *behind* your eMail window.... it is on your screen, but "behind" the eMail! In the taskbar, there will now be a longish button with the Firefox logo at the left side and the name of the website on the rest.... if you click on that button, Firefox will then jump to the front view - in front of your mail-window... reg Why is this server so stupid, that we can't put in a screen-shot???? |
