Download from <https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=1122>, or visit author's TMP home page <URL:http://tmp.garyr.net/> for an overview. -- Kind regards, Melchert MacOS 10.3.9/Firefox 1.5/Thunderbird 1.5 |

It's not something that can be 'disabled' per se. You can Ctrl+Click on a link/bookmark/etc., and it will open in a new tab. You can Ctrl+N to open a new tab. There are many more clicking and dragging methods involving opening and closing of tabs. Is there a certain function you are looking for? -- Chris Ilias mozilla.test.multimedia moderator Mozilla links <http://ilias.ca> (Please do not email me tech support questions) |

When I tried ^N a new *new* window opened; but ^Click created a new tab. :-\ Is that a function of Tab Mix Plus or something else? |

I /think/ this is the default regardless of your OS. http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/keyboard |

In Windows, open the Options menu (in Linux, open the Edit menu) and select preferences. Select the Tabs tab and UNCHECK 'Hide the tab bar when only one web site is open'. That will ensure that the tab bar is always visible, even when only one web page is loaded. Alternatively, press Ctrl+t on the keyboard to open a new tab with the default page (either the home page or a blank page) loaded. You can also middle-click or Ctrl+click on links to open them in new tabs, and you can select New Tab from the File menu as well. Typing an address into the address bar and pressing Ctrl+Enter opens the URL in a new tab. |
