TIA, John I don't know what your problem is, but your bookmarks are in a file called bookmarks.html. It is stored in an area called your profile. Your profile contains all your settings, prefs, passwords, bookmarks, etc. To locate your profile, you can read this: http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/edit#profile but the reason you can't find them is because they are hidden, so you have to unhide windows, and you can do this by reading this: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...ddenfiles.mspx -- How to Get a Life Difficulty Level: Hard Tip #2: Turn off the computer |

need help with firefox...
Hullo Folks.
I have a problem twice now, Firefox 'seems' to reset itself. All that seems to happen is I lose all me bookmarks. I can (and do) import back, but of course I lose the recent ones. What I would like to know is why (it happens), how (to stop it happening again), and where (the bookmarks are stored). I have looked under docs & settings but not all the bookmarks are there. Can anybody help?? Look forward to hearing from you. TIA, John |

TIA, John When the bookmarks dissappear, you're probably getting a popup telling you the profile is in use... or something similar. Cancel out and close your firefox window. Then go to the task manager (control-alt-delete) and under the processes tab look for a running instance of firefox and then end task on it. Or (takes longer) reboot your computer. It's a glitch that I'll be happy to see get fixed! -- --- A dyslexic man walks into a bra --- |
