update not quite right?
it has appeared that updates were once a day. since i'd installed a nightly that was a few days old, updates appeared to aminatin
that lag of a few days. so, last night, i downloaded and immediately installed the current nightly.
having the updats stop lagging was the goal.

update messaage popped up, but different trxt.


Coincidentally i'd had proxo log running. here's the relevant section. it implies that updater will "update" current versoin

speculating on a fix (giving fully functional result):
i suppose i could uninstall bonecho, then install current nightly. since i also have ff1.5.0.4 installed all profiles should be
"preserved" despite binecho uninstall. and maybe (otherwise) full install/uninstall will be wipe out the backward-update data ?

maybe donwload part of updater hasn't caught on to the current UA. but install part of updater knows UA, and rejects (some?)

or maybe finding my logon info for mozine, so i can post there. i hate all those bulletin boards scattered all over the WWW.
With so many boards for so many extensions, the password manager is a necessity :-)
