Question about extension updates

I stick with V 1.5.0.14 because I need/use the AutoCopy extension. When I check out the blogs on that extension it seems very popular, any ideas why it hasn't been picked up by one of the thousands of extension writers and updated for later TB versions?

Have you contacted the author of the extension to enhance it for version
2? Or, is just a matter of raising the support level?

I don't *know* that it would work, but have you tried the version hack
on the extension, with TB2?
