Tbird autotrim sig

My older Mepis Tbird 2.0.0.6 autotrims sigs. My Ub 8.04 Tbird 2.0.0.14
doesn't. I can't find a configuration for that nor does the problem or a
solution popup on my searching yet.

Does anyone know of a config place, say a line in about:config or newsrc
or something?

If the signature delimiter is held in place properly dashdashspace then
it will be auto-trimmed in the reply to the post. Or did you mean
something else?

To clarify Garcia's response, your delimiter is "--" (dash-dash). You
need "-- " (dash-dash-space).

If you setup your account settings to append a signature automatically
from a file and the file has no delimiter at all, Tbird will insert
dash-dash-space.

Go to Mozdev at <http://www.mozdev.org/> for quick access to
extensions for Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and other
Mozilla-related applications. You can access Mozdev much
more quickly than you can Mozilla Add-Ons.

Oops. Doh. That was an unrecognized OE QuoteFix hiccup misinterpreted
as a Tbird problem.

tnx. Sorry for the foolishness.

Would you, or anyone reading this, have the link to the "autotrim
signature" extension

Thanks in advance

Tbird's function to autotrim properly delimited sigs is built-in and is
not configurable to be 'on or off'and it is not an extension.

There are are a number of extensions which hit search 'signature' in the
addons.mozilla.org page.
