QuickMove extension
Could some please remind me how to 'crank up' the QuickMove extension so
that I can install it under TB 2.0.0.14 for my wife? It was discussed about 2½ years ago here under "QuickMove problem" but the thread appears to have been removed from the server =-O I vaguely remember modifying the extension following advice from this group and it works fine for me (in fact I find it indispensable) but my wife never had it installed and it refuses to install in her profile. -- Herbert Eppel www.HETranslation.co.uk |

It sounds as if you're referring to the process of editing the install.rdf file to increase the maxVersion number. What version do you have? A.m.o has version 0.4.0, which is only compatible with TB 0.5 - 1.0+, but Add-ons Mirror has version 0.4.2, which is compatible up to TB 2.0+, so you should be able to install it without having to do any "cranking up". http://forum.addonsmirror.net/index.php?showtopic=1330 Ken Whiton FIDO: 1:132/152 InterNet: kenwhiton@surfglobal.net.INVAL (remove the obvious to reply) |

I looked here: <https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/877>, but is clearly the wrong place as explained in your message, but comes out top in a Google search for quickmove and thunderbird =-O I will install it forthwith from <http://forum.addonsmirror.net/index.php?showtopic=1330>, thereby avoiding unnecessary cranking 8-) -- Herbert Eppel www.HETranslation.co.uk |

It seems as if the a.m.o upgrade somehow "lost" (or lost track of) the latest versions of some extensions. :-( Ken Whiton FIDO: 1:132/152 InterNet: kenwhiton@surfglobal.net.INVAL (remove the obvious to reply) |
