Webmail addon - Yahoo - MySpace; charset messed up?
I'm using TB 2.0.0.14 with the Webmail (1.3.2) addon, combined with the
Yahoo (1.3.4) addon. Yahoo is set to BETA website and I receive mails without problems, but when I get a mail from MySpace it's messed up. All I can see is this gibberish: <http://i36.tinypic.com/1snj1t.png> When I press Cltrl+U to look at the source I can see the text without problems and it seems to be in UTF-8: | Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 | Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 When I go to the menu View > Character encoding I can see Unicode (UTF-8) is checked, so I think my settings are correct. But why do I see this gibberish then? Is there some way I can fix this? For the record, I know about <http://groups.google.be/group/thunderbird-webmail-extension> but a search there didn't provide me with an answer and I really don't feel like signing up to a Google Groups group... -- s|b |

Only Select all - Reply to Sender Only Reply to All Forward .... Save .... .... I'm guessing you have the Mnenhy addon installed? I googled for base64 and TB and apparently, it wasn't supported in 2005/2006 and TB was tagging mails in base64 as spam. I'm unsure if base64 is supported now; I can only find TB uses it for passwords... -- s|b |

As example, I've got a message with: Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 That part is decoded in readable text on display. -- Kind regards, Melchert (MacOS 10.3.9 / Firefox 2.0, Thunderbird 2.0) |
