how to increase display font size for the compose window only?
While typing in a compose window, sometimes - especially while typing in
unicode devanagari/ hindi, I find the font too small and it becomes difficult to see the ligatures clearly. How can I increase the fonts temporarily for the current compose window, so that when I save/ send that mail, the next compose window should have default. it is text message composing. -- V |

I don't think it's possible. :-( I've tried two or three different things I thought of, but they don't meet that last requirement. :-( 1. The "View --> Text Size" options only work in the Message Pane/Window, and don't transfer to the Compose Window. 2. "Tools --> Options --> Display --> [Fonts tab]" (in the Compose Window) and click on the "Fonts..." button will let you change the font size in the current Compose Window, but it won't restore the original font size after that window is closed. If you use this method anyway, you'll need to note what the prior settings values are, so you can restore them manually afterwards. I don't know if what you want to do can be done with an extension, but that's the only other possibility I can think of. I needed some simple method for changing font size - like MS word has ctrl > and ctrl <, I think. > I don't know if what you want to do can be done with an > extension, but that's the only other possibility I can think of. > > Ken Whiton > FIDO: 1:132/152 > InterNet: kenwhiton@surfglobal.net.INVAL (remove the obvious to reply) -- V |

Only possible option is , as Ken has already hinted , compose that type of message in html mode temporarily[1] but send them in plain text mode [2].
